Juice

Sometimes I just get lucky. I couldn't have planned this shot any better. I was attracted to the two young ladies framing the older lady in the middle when one of them turned and sneered at me. That expression and the 'Juice' on the door made the shot for me (to say nothing of the woman in the back with a pizza box on her head!).

  2. Nice shot! Your images seem to have a HDR quality. Just curious if you are willing to share your post process?

    1. Logan, thanks for the comment. I occasionally shoot HDR for a change of pace. But my street work is definitely not HDR. There's no time for multiple exposures. As for my processing, It's pretty straightforward (with my own personal touches): I do some basic adjustment in Lightroom, then optimize the contrast and details as a color image (keeping in mind that I will be converting it to a b/w) using Nik plugins, then I convert to b/w using Nik's Silver Efex 2. Each image gets specific treatment within those plugins depending on what I want to bring out.

  3. A wise man once said: If you want to get lucky - you must search for the luck. That´s what happend with your in every way great street photo. It´s the desicive moment you caught here. Specially the old lady in the background with the pizza box above her head is a bonus in the photo.

Today I registered the domain www.street-urban.com (at the server level I haven't activated) intended solely to street photography, then you talk about how before this project.
